  • I imagine you're going to get angry posts about "you brought back Peter Parker, why not Rich Rider?" And you'll probably answer something like "because Spider Man has 60 years of publishing and a half dozen movies that show how popular he is." And while that makes perfect sense to me, do you get that, maybe, for the person writing you that Rich Rider is HIS Peter Parker and maybe that answer is a little I dunno... mercenary?

    Marvel is a for-profit company. e get to do what we do because we make money. So we’re absolutely mercenary, and make no bones about it. That doesn’t drive every storytelling choice we make, though.
