How frustrating is it when fans write in to ask when they can plan on seeing character X again and you have to say that character X has been appearing in book Y for the past six months? I see that occasionally on here. I guess not everyone is as plugged in as the average internet-savvy comics fan but it also seems like that's the kind of thing that can be alleviated with the help of a knowledgeable retailer.
Given the sheer amount of titles that we publish and everything else that’s going on in the world, it stands to reason that there are going to be readers who are unaware of stuff like this. That’s part of why places like this Tumblr/Formspring exist, to give folks a place where they can go to get semi-helpful answers. So, sure, it’d be great if we could get absolutely everyone plugged into everything we’ve got going on and coming up, but it’s a bit unrealistic–and it’s a process. Answering those questions is a part of the process.
