I just bought the beautiful XL-sized SIEGE HC and was rather dismayed to discover the chronological reading order is ignored by not arranging the issues appropriately. I was hoping to pick up the big INFINITY collection. But not if it's like this!
Well, it’s a slightly different thing, in that those SIEGE stories weren’t designed to be jigsawed or read in a purely chronological manner–each title essentially kept to its own business, and the core SIEGE series told its story, even though it was all written by Brian. INFINITY, on the other hand, has a definitive reading order, and the AVENGERS and NEW AVENGERS chapters are crucial. So that one will collect the stories in that manner. And, no doubt, somebody else won’t like that way either.
