Well, there have really been a ton of them, from the feel-good panels I moderated at assorted conventions, to the generosity of fans towards things like the Hero Initiative (donate today!) In particular those fans who participated in the trading game I played over at the old Blog, who carried me all the way to a copy of FANTASTIC FOUR #1 that was auctioned off to benefit the HI (as well as a chunk of other books as well.) And the people who played my two Editorial Simulation games were great. And I just got a letter the week before the holidays from a young fan who had drawn up some terrific takes on our characters–in reality, 99% of the interactions with fans are positive, the ones that aren’t make up a very small portion and are a statistical anomaly. And it’s all part of the gig, you cannot expect to make everybody happy doing this job, so I try not to take any of it terribly personally. Even the guy who follows me on twitter to rail against me over whatever conspiratorial slight he imagines I’m masterminding in order to destroy the X-Men is entertaining–and he at least cares about the characters and the stories.
