  • Is there a clear distinction you guys make between alternative timelines and alternate universes? Eg the future x-men from BotA or DoFP seem like different times - the same original universe where an event changed it whereas the UU or Zombies are clearly different altogether. So would timetraveling also be universe hopping or are they different? My head hurts. Not trying to nitpick or slag anything, I'm just curious

    Alternate timelines are universes in which some event in the past went left instead of right, and as a result the sequence of events played out differently, resulting in a world much different from our own.

    Alternate universes are universes that are simply different from our own, in which the divergent point was not one single event, but something at a more primordial level at the very establishment of that universe.
