I read somewhere that Beast told Reed and Sue that their exposure to cosmic rays caused Franklin's mutants abilities activate at an earlier age than normal and enhanced his mutant powers to the level they are now. Is that true? If so, do you know what title and issue that took place in?
I don’t remember that moment, so I don’t know where it may have taken place. My best guess would have been during those DAYS OF FUTURE NOW Annuals in the 90s, since that story involved X-Factor as well as the FF and Franklin was a big part of it.
