  • I was reading your history lesson on continuity, going back to Stan the Man and Roy the Boy through Englehart. I was interested, since Englehart is one of the people who got me into Marvel Comics, and I hadn’t thought about how my affection for continuity was connected to that. It did make me curious, though, do you ever think about how some editor in 10-20 years will be talking about how Tom the Hat’s approach toward continuity shaped the fabric of the MU? If so, do you think Tom the Hat will be a good nickname, or will you be annoyed you don’t have another one?  ;)

    I’m sure that the editors of tomorrow will talk about this period, just as we discuss the past. But I can’t really worry about that too much. I’m not working for posterity especially, I’m working for right now–if you do that well enough, posterity takes care of itself.
