It's not about getting into pissing matches with you and your anger is somewhat silly- you control the dialogue and you control the content as well as the tone. If you find things too contentious you can simply not publish the question or answer. You don't do that- instead you answer and snark as if you're above the fray which is facetious. You're taking part in it and as such your righteous indignation is really quite misplaced...
That’s as may be. I don’t do this only to respond to the nice questions, but I also am under no obligation to answer any of this stuff. And I don’t have any anger–you’re reading a tone that’s simply not there. If you abide by the relatively few rules of this place, then you are accorded with the respect of the process, no matter who you are, no matter what you’re asking. Doesn’t mean that I’m going to give you the answer you want, or engage with you on the level that you’d like me to.
