Reading mostly in trade I'm a big fan of the uniform design of the marvel now collections and given that it is applied across the line I can't imagine it going away anytime soon so I just have to ask why do some Marvel books break from the new format? While I can sort of understand wanting to differentiate titles it just seems a bit weird to me to have such different designs active at the same time.

I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to design, especially when it comes to such a diverse range of titles across the whole of our publishing line. I’d rather have attractive books that reflect their contents than uniform books. I know that there are others who feel differently, and that’s fine.
