But I WOULD say the same thing about Batman. I like Batman and the Black Panther just fine, but the idea of inflating essentially peak-human characters to the degree that they can actually stand up physically to monsters - it's poor storytelling because it undermines what IS cool about these characters. Batman knocking out Superman ONCE is cool, but after that it lessens both characters. What's really cool is seeing Batman and T'Challa outthink their enemies, because that's what they should do.

Did we see a physical throw-down between the Black Panther and the Black Dwarf that played out the way you’re indicating? Not in any of the comics I edited. You’re imagining how you think things must have gone down, and then reacting as though that’s what happened. but I think that given the history of Wakanda, its supreme technological advancement, the fact that it’s never been conquered and the fact that we’ve seen time and time again that the Panther and the Wakandans have protocols in place for events as great as Galactus coming, it’s no real stretch that Black Dwarf and his guys would be turned back while fighting the Wakandans on their home turf.
