Wolverine and the X-Men Annual #1 was released today. But with series ending it's not very likely that there will be Annual #2. That was the case with Steve Rogers: Super Soldier and Namor: First Mutant annuals and some others. My question: why do you need to call book "Annual" if it's not released annually? Wouldn''t it be more honest to call 'em "Specials" or something?
It’s an Annual because that’s the position it occupies on our publishing schedule, regardless of whether there’ll ever be another one. We could have called it a Special–but then, somebody might have complained that it wasn’t special enough…
