New Brevoort Formspring

I often see fans request collections of runs that have gone out of print or never have (Preist's BP, Starlin's Warlock, Gru's Cap, Kelly's DP etc.) and I wonder why can't fans just make individual orders to Marvel for the HC/TPB? Is it that it wouldn't be cost effective to print a small amount of them for a select few ppl? Cuz I think if they really wanted it you could just raise the price so you can profit, especially for runs that most likely will never get (re)printed in a large quantity.
