  • It is clear from all the re-numbering and re-launching, that sales are under-performing. Despite what your supporters here say, Marvel is losing readers. The reason for this is that you are alienating the very people in the best financial position to support your company - long-time readers. Many of the people who have the financial ability to buy your product have left, or like me, are in the process of "leaving the fold". I do not complain or bad-mouth Marvel. I simply stopped buying.

This is like arguing that the rise of cable television makes it clear that the days of network television are over. Things are changing, sure, but that doesn’t mean that Marvel isn’t still the most successful publisher in the field, and wildly profitable. But to remain in that position, you need to change with the times and with the market–just as network television needed to change to face the changing reality of a world with cable.
