  • when someone says that if you don't like a title, don't buy it and it won't affect the rest of your reading that's simply not true. marvel's a shared universe and if you don't like Doc Ock as Spidey for example, you can't escape it in other marvel titles as it pops up. I do think it's ridiculous to prejudge a title like the new ms. marvel, but big changes in one marvel title can, and has, had an effect on many other titles as well.

    At that point, though, what you’re really arguing is that you can’t read any comics, because somewhere, somewhen, somebody might do a story that you don’t like. And I find that a bit nuts, but if that’s how you feel, that’s how you feel. But if you like, say, IRON MAN, I think it’s likely that your reading enjoyment won’t somehow be forever ruined if Spider-Man were to guest-star in an issue. I don’t know, maybe I’m crazy.
