New Brevoort Formspring

So I am trying to get myself back into the avengers end of the pool and I am curious: SHIELD is around but what form doesnt currently exist in? Last time I checked in, it was replaced by HAMMER. Is Maria Hill in charge? Are they global or just american based? I heard that cap was leading them as avengers, but that sounded a little big even for him. Any clarification would be great, thanks!
