'Not sure which timeline thing you’re pointing to at Marvel, but sure, there are allowances you have to make.' I think that the big difference between you and DC on this is that you guys very rarely mention actual amounts of time, so it's much easier to suspend disbelief. The '5 years' thing in the DCNu was a real own-goal, in my opinion. Plus, Fraction explained a lot of the Marvel U's weird time rules (for those who need an explanation) with the event of his Defenders!
In fairness, they don’t mention that five years thing too often in their books, it’s more something that they talk about a lot in interviews and the like.
