So how can those other writers who aren't your go to guys ever crack that ceiling to helm a big event? Also don't you get annoyed when movie studios hire Tom Cruise for a role simply because he's a big name? And if so, shouldn't it annoy readers to know that some writers are going to get the nod simply because of their name?

None of our writers “get the nod” because of their name, they get the nod because of their work and the ideas that they walk in the door with. And other writers can “crack that ceiling” the same way Jonathan Hickman did–by producing excellent work that strikes a chord with the readership. Nobody is being kept down, but especially on an Event, we want our best and brightest people working on it.
