Sorry, one last question on this topic! I promise! So did the Neo fail for a different reason compared to the Mannites? There were a couple of appearances but like the Mannites they just disappeared. I don't think Domina has been seen since the Genoshan massacre. And now the Neo seem to had all been wiped out in that annual I think Yost wrote when the Evolutionaries appeared. Was that just purging a concept that never developed then? And was that Yost who decided it or the higher ups?

The Neo just sort of petered out after Chris Claremont, who created them, stopped writing the series again. The folks who came after him weren’t all that interested in the characters, so they fell by the wayside. And eventually most of them were massacred as you say. That would have been the choice of the writer and the editor, nothing higher up than that.
