I read that during the 90s there was a period in which there were 5 group editors-in-chief of different lines instead of one common editor-in-chief. Since you were around at the time, do you know why they decided to do that and why you think it failed?

That was done to weaken the authority of any single Editor in Chief and give the Sales Department the upper hand, and it failed because it was a moronic idea in the first place.
