Do you consider peoples weekly budgeting when scheduling books? More often I find myself with a couple of books one week which mean I don't even make the effort to go to the comic shop. Then other weeks there are far too many to the point where I end up dropping books that I'm wavering about. Those quiet weeks would be a great time to put out new books, as I would be more likely to try them than when I'm already inundated keeping up with double shipped books.
We try in general to balance the ship weeks in every month at Previews catalogue time, but still individual books will often shift from week to week during production. And it’s more important to get the book to come out and look and read its best than it is for it to arbitrarily remain in a given week–both are important, but one is more important. So we’ll often have heavier and lighter weeks, sure. Without knowing your specific pull list, though, this isn’t something we’re targeting you with. That’s just luck of the draw, I’m afraid.
