Personally, I've got no problem with a black Human Torch if Fox's FANTASTIC FOUR reboot gets off the ground. I am, however, truly skeptical of the fact that their casting appears to be skewing young across the board. Reports appear to be confirmed that 26-year-old Miles Teller is up for Mister Fantastic. Do you have any particular thoughts on the importance of the age differences between the members in contributing to an interesting team dynamic on the FF?

I think that it’s most important to get excellent actors performing an excellent script, everything else is sidereal to that. And I cannot remember ever in history a time when comic book fans were happy about any casting news regarding a comic book film far in advance of the actual film. So let them do what they’re going to do, and it will either be wonderful or it won’t–but you’ll be judging the actual work, not reacting to your own fears concerning it. The last X-MEN film starred a college-aged Professor X, and that seemed to work out all right.
