after editing the avengers for nearly 20 years, why don't you step down from THAT? surely a new editor would put a fresh spin on the book, bring something different, etc. you've had a stranglehold on the team since 1998... now i don't think there's been a good avengers story since 2000, and you're obviously the common link... but plenty of people like that bendis stuff or this hickman garbage but i think a different editor would at least bring a different feel and spin to these books.
