Hi Tom. With all due respect, I must make the following comment: I still dont understand why some honorary Avengers like Yellolljacket II, Deathcry, Marrina, Whizzer or Magdalene appears in the 50th anniversary Avengers covers by Acuña, and others like Rick Jones, Moira Brandon or the Guardians of the Galaxy not. What are the guidelines that you use to make the choice? Thanks for your answer.

Well, really, the criteria is whatever I wanted it to be. but to break it down, the characters you list all spent a significant portion of time being around the Avengers, being a part of that cast. Rick Jones did, too, but at the moment he’s A-Bomb, who isn’t technically an Avenger, so putting him on is confusing. The same thing is true of the Guardians of the Galaxy, who had a single (long) adventure with the Avengers and were given honorary status to allow them access to the Mansion. It’s simply confusing to depict them as actual Avengers, they’re a group unto themselves. And finally, you’re one of the very few people that even remembers Moira Brandon, and she wasn’t in any way even in the super hero world apart from leasing Hawkeye the West Coast compound. So including her seemed strange as well.
