Given how much people ask you here about an X-kids book, doesn't that show that there is an interested fanbase and thus a market for the book?

There’s an interest for every character in existence, but that doesn’t mean that there’s enough interest to sustain a book. If every single person who’s subscribed to this Tumblr was adamantly interested and put their money on the table, that’s still only be around 1000 people, not nearly enough to sustain a series. So you can’t be fooled by the enthusiasm of a relative few.
