  • Hi Tom. Bucky's near no-show at this years NYCC, your comment about his upcoming appearances in other characters' books, and the sales troubles of his solo series got me wondering something. Is Bucky better suited as a valuable supporting player to more popular characters' stories such as Cap or Wolverine, or is he a character who is capable of being the center of a story like he was while Ed Brubaker was writing him in Captain America?

I think that Bucky is perfectly capable of headlining a series, presuming you’ve got the right creative team and story.
