New Brevoort Formspring

Tom, you say that writers use who they want to write about, but Bendis has been on record saying that he had no intentions of using Iron Man in Guardians and was essentially talked into doing it. So its really who do you guys want to see in books.

If Brian absolutely didn’t want to use Iron Man in GUARDIANS, then he wouldn’t be there. But of course we make suggestions about the stories we do and the series we launch. Brian had no intention of using Iron Man in GUARDIANS because why would he? Even when he was looking for other MU characters to bring into the series, he would have likely figured that Iron Man wasn’t an option. But when Iron Man was presented as being an option, he was enthusiastic about it. That’s not forcing somebody to use a character.
