  • hello Mr Tom, i was wondering about the way Marvel deals with the "genie out of the bottle effect" you mentioned earlier; when a drammatic "undoable thing" (like someone else lifting Mjolnir, Black Bolt actually screaming, stopping the juggernaut) happens, and starts happening with regularity, is there a way to put the genie Back in the bottle? or is the character diminished forever by it?

    Depends on the genie, and just how important getting it back into the bottle might be seen as. In most cases, there isn’t a really good way, and even in those cases where it might be considered necessary, the journey of getting there is going to be difficult. Making Spider-Man single again is the best example of the latter.
