Tom, it seems odd that people like Hank Pym and Bruce Banner perform surgery on humans: Captain America 11, for example. I might be wrong but isn't Dr. Strange the only surgeon, let alone medical doctor (not Ph.D)? I guess Cecillia Reyes is, but seems weird that physicists and engineers are performing operations on people; as if there is a shortage of MDs
Well, the problem that Cap is suffering from is technological in nature–an invasive techno-virus. So while, sure, you’d want medical practitioners in the mix (and I assume that SHIELD has very fine doctors on staff), having guys like Hank and Bruce who specialize in such things in the mix makes sense to me as well.
