    I agree to a point that implementation by the creative team can cause an idea to succeed or fail,

    but I believe that ideas on their own have the merit of being great or not so great, and can be judged as such.


    Making Tony Stark the head of SHIELD was a brilliant idea and you have my thanks, as a loyal reader of Iron Man since the mid 70s, for one of the high-point eras in Tony Stark’s storied journey. Seriously.   

    Not easy to find ideas for great status quo changes for a 50 yr old character, especially ideas that fit so seamlessly into the context of their own long histories; this was such a perfect fit and the creatives had some fun with it. 

    I wish it had lasted longer.
