  • I've always used M*A*S*H as a perfect example of how you have to compress timelines in comics. The Korean war lasted three years, but the show lasted ten. Therefore, you have to assume all the events of the show took place within that three year period. Some stories happened close to each other, and many of the Christmas episodes were the SAME Christmas, with several plot happening concurrently. It helps people understand how Peter Parker isn't 75 years old now.

    Once you get to “many of the Christmas episodes were the SAME Christmas”, my head starts to hurt. Best just not to stare at it all too much.
