I jut remembered and I can send you twitter interactions between James Amus (I think that's him , the guy from Gambit) and the Great Yost who have tweeted that their very interested in Young X-men book even going as far as saying "just give me the word" @Nick Lowe , so when you say writers don't want to write those characters I can find writers , your own writers who want to. I know this doesn't fall under you since its X-stuff but its fuel for my point of the discussion. :)

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but they may not have pitched anything that was considered worth pursuing. There are people who want to write all sorts of characters, but that doesn’t mean that they have a worthwhile take on the concept, or that it fits in with our publishing plan as a whole. Or that they chose to do so–certainly James could have used those characters in GAMBIT, for example, and Chris could have used them in SCARLET SPIDER (which is more of a stretch.) But in terms of the importance of them writing about those guys, it may not be as important to them as it is to you.
