"So an editor can champion any project that he thinks has merit, but not every project that is so championed will wind up being produced." That's very interesting. Mr Brevoort, has there been any project that you championed and sadly didn't go through? The comment just got me curious about what pitches are out there that never got produced.

There certainly have been, but the advantage to having been around for as long as I have is that those ideas can be recycled and reworked at a later date, when conditions may have changed. But sure, there have been books that I thought about doing that didn’t happen.
