I see your point about minis and yet when you do an event like Age of Ultron you tend to focus on characters like Wolverine, so that lesser known characters still don't get much exposure. Doesn't it become a self fulfilling prophecy at some point that if all readers see is Spider Man, Wolverine and Iron Man, then all they will want is more Spider Man, Wolverine and Iron Man?

Maybe, but that’s clearly not the case, or else everybody here wouldn’t be advocating for other characters. Wolverine, Iron Man and Spider-Man don’t have an unfair advantage, what they have is decades of history as characters readers are interested in and want to read about. And that writers want to write about.
