  • Mr. Brevoort, I read "Spider-Man: Blue" and it was an amazing piece. Wonderfully crafted. Purchased it at the LCS and looking forward to doing the same with your future Spider-Man graphics coming out. What can you tell us about the development of this piece? Where was it conceived/by whom? Who approached who, I suppose. Was the task to always do a DD: Yellow, Spider-Man: Blue, and a Hulk: Grey? Were there more you would'e had? (IronMan: Gold?)

    I presume it was conceived by Jeph and Tim. My understanding is that they did DAREDEVIL: YELLOW, and at some point in that process the notion came up of doing other “spectrum” books revisiting the early days of different characters themed around a particular color that related to the character and the emotional state of the story. Doing Spider-Man next was relatively obvious.
