  • Question # 2 (and last): Do you know why, until the Avengers 2 movie announcement, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were almost always in X-Men adaptations rather than Avengers? I don't have a problem with it (fidelity to the comics is not a priority), I'm just curious why these characters are almost always Avengers in the comics and almost always Brotherhood members on TV.

Well, some of it’s just that there have been more X-Men projects than Avengers projects over the years. And if you’re doing an X-Men project and need to fill 65 episodes or whatnot, those are characters with a strong tie to the world of the X-Men that are decently well known and who can be the backbone of interesting stories. At the end of the day, though, all characters are Marvel characters.
