Were the cover designs for Infinity/Avengers/New Avengers thought up by one person? I wondered if one artist showed the concept and it was adopted by others for all of the books or if it was a group effort from the start. The limited use of color and the more somber art really sell the severity of the event. The books themselves are easily identified as parts of a set. It's a good look to sell an event with important ramifications. The person(s) who thought it up deserve some praise!
The cover treatment for INFINITY and the assorted tie-ins, including AVENGERS and NEW AVENGERS, was created by Chris Fondacaro’s creative services design team, including Tom Marvelli and Patrick McGrath. They’ve originated the treatments of many of our big Event series the last several years (though not absolutely all of them.)
