  • But most male deaths aren't done to service other female characters' stories though (like female deaths), are they? Not trying to argue/accuse u of anything, I'm sure I could be wrong here-just genuinely wondering what you think. Thanks.

    They are in books with a female lead character. The difficulty is that there simply aren’t as many of them, and it’s proven as difficult to get those to stick long term as any other new series that we start. But if we’re talking about a story in CAPTAIN AMERICA, then it should come as no surprise that the centerpiece of those stories is going to be Captain America. Not Bucky, not Falcon, not Diamondback, not Arnie Roth, not Nick Fury, not Sharon Carter. In the CAPTAIN MARVEL series, the same thing is true–the centerpiece of those stories is Carol Danvers.
