I'm sorry, I'll clarify. :) Nightcrawler Origins, published 2010, written by Bernardin and Freeman, tweaked the character's early backstory to explain his religious beliefs & where the surname Wagner came from, took out his brother Stefan's death as the catalyst prior to joining the X-Men, & erased his squicky past sibling romance with Amanda/Jimaine. I wondered if that version of events is now canon.
