Why did Sam Alexander join the Avengers and yet we haven't seen him in a single Avengers comic since? Just another way to remind us Sam is super-awesome and just as good, if not better, than the Nova people liked before?

He didn’t. He was offered a spot on the team, said that he had to ask his mom, and then that scene played out in NOVA #6.
