In recent years, has there been a conscious effort in Marvel to take your stories to other parts of the world and such, or is it up to the writers where they want their stories to take place or their characters to be from? For example, I've noticed Brazil has shown up more frequently; just this past year there has been Wolverine and the X-Men story set there, two Uncanny Avengers mentions, and more I can't remember now. Is it because the country has gained more prominence, or is it random?
It’s usually the choice of our writers, but as the technology makes our world grow relatively smaller, I think it’s more likely that you’ll see this sort of thing continue. Our heroes have always had adventures around the globe, though, how many times have the X-Men been in Japan at this point?
