Tom, not all of us anonymous are mean, its been cool having this forum to talk to you, even if I don't always like/agree with what you say or the books you publish. I was wondering about your trade/collections department: They've been pretty good about getting books collected quickly since Marvel NOW started, but why so long for the paperbacks? First collection of All-New X-Men came out in April, but the paperback isn't out until January? Kinda wacky.
Not really, you want to give retailers both inside and outside the Direct Market the opportunity to sell the hardcover edition first. If you squeeze that window too tightly, the retailers aren’t going to order much of the softcovers, as they’ll still have hardcovers in hand that they’re trying to move.
