Tom, why do so many comics creators seem to not know when books/collections are released? Do they just not care, or are they not informed of the actual dates? In some cases (Matt Fraction and the Ultimate collections of his X-Men run) it seems like they didn't even know the books would exist until they're solicited.
There isn’t any organized process for informing people, especially when you’re talking about collections of older work. We have enough of a time tracking down everybody to pay them for those collections, and that’s a much more worthwhile use of the time.
