"Gunn said DnA are the fathers of GotG. Rightly - no mention of you, Wacker, Bendis, or Loeb." Wouldn't Gunn have said that because DnA are the ones who brought that iteration of the team together? And I assume there wasn't mention of the Bendis book because IT HADN'T STARTED YET by the time GOTG was put into production. I, for one, am a huge fan of the Bendis GOTG, sure it's not DnA, but that's like comparing Raiders to Last Crusade. Completely different sharks but both tremendous fun.
