I understand but do you think if the E.I.C and the writer say to the fans that this will answer the story of the third summer's brother thats been a unresolved storyline for years believe them. Or should we just discount what u guys say to fans

You’re talking about a transcript of a convention panel. From my experience, typically A) those transcribing the panels get stuff wrong, a lot of stuff, sometimes very wrong. And B) Joe and Chris and whomever else was on that panel were asked a question about a specific subject, and took that opportunity to plug a soon-to-be-released issue–and an issue of a series that by its very title and subject matter is clearly outside of our regular continuity. (I’m pretty certain about this–I edited every single one of those 18 issues.) I don’t know what Joe or Chris actually said at that panel, and I don’t think that any of it constitutes a binding contract or anything. I get that you like the idea of Gambit being a relative, but that story does not constitute proof of this notion.
