What kind of moral responsibility if any do you think big companies like marvel have to gay rights movements? Obviously Orson Scott Card was a big story for gay people. I didn't feel the need to campaign I did make a point of not buying or redeeming the free issues of his work in the comixology sale. Honestly as someone who has supported Marvel for so long it did feel like a betrayal that you employed someone who has openly campaigned against the human rights of people like me.
We employ a wide variety of creators from all around the world, creators who hold among them every possible belief under the sun. And that’s perfectly fine, we’re not in the business of thought-policing our talent. It’s the opinions expressed within the work that are of paramount import. If we only employed people that agreed with us on everything, then our talent pool would be miniscule to non-existent. And, of course, you’re free to choose not to follow and not to purchase the work of any creator for any reason you feel like.
