New Brevoort Formspring

Once again, due to Wanda's statement comparing Scott to the Red Skull in this week's Uncanny Avengers, there are many fans saying that Wanda has killed far more by wiping out mutants throughout the multiverse in an Excaliber story. I didn't read this but is this true and if not, why was the story allowed to assert this? I've read you answer this many times that HoM was never meant to show Wanda as being responsible for some kind of mutant genocide. But other x-titles asserted this. Why?
