I'm a big Galactus fan, but I lost track of the Ultimate Universe a while ago. I know Hunger is leading into some big Ultimate event, but is it something I can just jump into or should I have some UU context?

You ought to be able to jump right into HUNGER without any great difficulty. Of course, the more you already know about and are invested in the fate of the Ultimate Universe, the more it may matter to you.
