  • Re: Ages - Oh, no, I respect that the MU doesn't exist solely to keep legacy characters interesting for us "old guys." :) But the tapestry of the MU is richer with heroes of varying ages and experiences. When I was a kid, I read a lot of books and saw lots of movies and the only "world populated solely with kid-friendly characters" that was any good at all was "Peanuts." Isn't Indiana Jones more interesting as a 36-year-old professor instead of as a demographic-friendly 24-year-old grad student?

    Nobody’s saying that every single character needs to be youthful. What I am saying is that it’s foolish and selfish to expect these characters to age along with you. They grow and change at a much slower rate than the audience does, for the simple reason that there’s going to be another generation behind you, and another generation behind that one.
