  • Tom, in response to you thinking people are just "nostalgic" for the '90's when X-Men were the major money makers of the Marvel U, you also only recently changed away from Joe Q who was kinda vocal about his dislike of mutants and who made numerous changes that cut down on the number of X-Men books and characters available.

    If you think that Joe Q dislikes mutants, I have to tell you that you are wrong. And cutting down the number of mutants was a choice made primarily to increase drama, since (especially during the Morrison run) their numbers had ballooned to the point where it felt like there were more of them than ordinary people in the Marvel Universe, which kinda kills the underlying metaphor of the series. And this hardly cut down the number of possible or existing X-books–just look at this month’s Previews catalog, there’s an absolute ton of them.
