Kids interact with their grandparents and other older relatives, as well as with older teachers, neighbors, and other older people in society who are often productive in various ways. Why do you think kids can't relate to older characters portrayed in various ways, as younger characters are, in some degree and will react negatively to them? Aren't you promoting ageism?

This is, forgive me, a bullshit argument that’s all about self-entitlement. The converse of everything you[’re saying is that older people like ourselves similarly interact with younger people all the time, and so can relate to them. It’s a Zero-Sum Argument, one that’s all about me-ism to the exclusion of everybody else who’s yet to come. And it’s one I’ve been hearing since I got into the business 24 years ago. If we’d listened to you then, Spider-Man would be retirement age at this point–madness.
